Shared Learning

Shared Learning Projects are research projects which focus on a topic proposed by an institution (such as a museum, art gallery, stately home or library) or proposed by U3A members themselves on a theme (such as a river, a town, a person or a philosophy).  One of the main objectives is to undertake some stimulating work which will be of benefit to both the participants and to the institution in which the project is carried out.

Over the last eight years, U3A has worked on Shared Learning Projects with some fifty museums in London and across the country - for example, The British Museum, Brighton Museum, the Foundling Museum, the Guildhall Library, Lytes Cary Manor House, Somerset, the Museum of London and Perth Museum, Scotland.

Museums and other public institutions wishing to know more about SLPs and U3As themselves should call National Office by phone: 020 8466 6139 or by email.
