U3A Wales Region has concluded its popular photography project on castles and selected the winning photo.

Entrants across Wales entered the castle-themed competition, submitting stunning photos of castles near them. The winning photograph is of Dolbadarn Castle by David Peers of Bangor U3A.

The top twelve photos can be seen on the Wales Region U3A website. These photos will be used to make a bilingual 2021 calendar.

The photography competition is the final aspect of the Castle of Wales Shared Learning Project.

This project, which involves several U3As across the nation, was chosen to celebrate Wales which has more castles than any other country in the world.
