Memories

Swannington Heritage Trust is encouraging people to spend 15 minutes a day recording their memories https://swannington-heritage.co.uk/home/swannington-history/15-minutes-a-day-memory-project/ People have all sorts of interesting memories - so write them down and give them to an appropriate history group.

Online Jukebox

A member from Whitwick has come up with the idea of an online jukebox, which goes something like this: Members take it in turn to choose a favourite record, which must be available on YouTube, and recommend it to those members taking part, with reasons why it is a favourite, and feed back comments online with an online vote.

Famous Garden Tours

This House Beautiful website gives 8 tours of famous gardens and there were more if you google virtual garden tours. https://www.housebeautiful.com/uk/garden/g31913008/best-virtual-tours-garden/ Send photos into your U3A of your gardens over the time of the lockdown as no doubt everyone will be working hard in them and they will be the best they have ever been.

Royal Academy

Bloomsbury

In response to COVID-19 and the migration to online classes, Bloomsbury is offering extended access to Drama Online for U3A. Created as a research tool for drama and literature students, professors, and teachers, Drama Online is home to playtexts, video, audio plans, and scholarly books to offer a multimedia experience of theatre. U3A members can access this for free until 15 June to watch recordings of National Theatre and Royal Shakespeare productions and also look at the scripts available. You can access Drama Online on our Learning Resources Centre
