Cards
U3A card group: Scunthorpe and District is a small group that meets on a lunch time at a café in town weekly. Things came to halt during lockdown but a review of a website in a computer magazine changed all expectations.

The website called playing cards does not push you to play for money or restrict what you play. Basically, you are given a virtual pack of cards and a table and it is up to you to do what you want with them.

You have got to physically meet-up because you need to chat – just as you would do with actual cards. Anyone can deal, anyone can do anything with any card on the table (just as you can when using actual cards) and each player has a section of the board where his/her cards are hidden from everyone else. There is a current maximum of 6 with social distancing, and the group has been meeting over the last few weeks, first in a garden and now back to the COVID sensitive Cafe.

As long as one person understands how to set up the game everyone else simply needs a tablet and an e-mail. The venue needs WiFi.
