Join a u3a

When you join an interest group at your local u3a you can learn together, make friends and have fun. With over 1,000 u3as spread across the UK, u3a creates communities for those who have stepped away from full time work. 

Each u3a offers different interest groups that are run by the members for the members. Whether your interest is science, sport or something else, once you join your local u3a you can take part in existing interest groups and start your own.

Volunteer led and volunteer run, everything we do is done by our members. We're one of the largest membership organisations in the UK.

Joining your local u3a, for a modest annual fee,  gives you access to both local and national activities. Nationally we run a programme of online learning events, competitions and challenges.

While most members no longer work full-time - they come together for fun things to do in retirement - there isn’t an age limit for membership.
