End u3a week with Alfresco in Autumn
We are launching a new event for u3a week, Alfresco in Autumn, which is an opportunity for members to take the fun and learning of their u3a outside.
This nationally coordinated event will take place on Friday 22 September and is a chance for individual members, groups or u3as to join in u3a week. For Alfresco in Autumn, we are asking members to organise events outside - which could be a picnic for your whole u3a or simply taking your group activity outside for the day.
It could be playing football in a field, playing games in the garden or eating lunch on the lawn - anything that takes the learning and fun of your u3a outside.
This event builds on the success of last year's Picnic in the Park where over 50 u3as organised picnics in their local area to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee.
Alfresco in Autumn is part of u3a week, which runs between 16 and 22 September. u3a week is an annual celebration to showcase the learning and fun which happens within u3a everyday. u3as will be holding events in their local communities and there is also a programme of national online events for members to get involved in.
