The Jubilee weekend was busy for u3a members as across the movement, members came together to have fun and celebrate the Queen's Jubilee and the u3a 40th Anniversary.

Many took part in Picnic in the Park - with entertainment including music from u3a performers (Barnsley u3a, Hillingdon u3a) to games of jenga (Doncaster u3a). Others adapted the theme - having Picnics in Rugby Clubs (Newcastle Emlyn u3a) or in indoor locations that they decorated with picnic hampers and bunting (Cottingham u3a.)

Picnic in the Park is one of the main events in a busy year for u3a as the 40 years of the movement are marked with picnics, quilt reveals and - later in the year - u3a week.
