Theme is: Numbers and Letters

'Prosecco' by Julie Gilson, Long Eaton and District u3a
Letters definitely in the right order, cheers.
A little watercolour painting with ink pen . Was given to a local real ale pub, displayed on the bar, in case anyone fancied something different.

'Games' by Lesley Moore, Hurst , Hassocks and Ditchling u3a
Games with cards are always fun!

‘Magnolias for Margaret’ by Valerie Salveson, Camberley u3a
I have painted this illuminated letter in acrylic paints as a birthday card for my sister.

'After Jasper John’s' by Lilwen Guest, Hale and District u3a

'Pisces' by Sara MacIntosh, Cowtons and Countryside u3a
This is inspired by my star sign Pisces and love of creating fish images using many media in my sketchbooks. Here the number 70 has been designed in a form of zentangles. They are drawn in black ink and the background was made using stamp pads in my two favourtie colours.

'My Local Post Box' by Anne Pearson, Hale & District u3a
Imagine the letters which have started their journey from this hidden gem of a post box, dating back to the reign of King George V.

'Collage' by Sue Parmley, Carlisle and District
A still life collage, using the letters as some of the items on a shelf.

'Birth' by Marie Evans, Epsom & Ewell u3a
To celebrate the birth of a friend’s granddaughter I painted the first letter of her name in watercolour and ink.

‘Telephone Trees!’ by Chrissie Turner, Whittlesea u3a
……this is a mixed media painting, the trunks of the trees are created using torn strips of old telephone directories and then painted.

'Seas The Day!' by Janis Towse, Sherburn and Villages u3a
This small mixed media work is all about looking forward to the summer and enjoying it!

'GWR engine' by Ronald Cann, Taunton u3a

'Abstract' by Gabrielle Summerhays, Farnham u3a
Experimenting with a very free abstract approach, this acrylic with added salt has both a letter and a number!

'Out of the Woods' by Susie Shaw, Hawkwell village u3a
Out of the woods in 2024 , hopefully 🤞

'A watercolour with a country theme' by by Jan Britton-Mosley, Isle of Sheppey u3a

'Great challenge!' by Dawn Jenkins, Ilkley and District u3a
I decided to go down the surreal route and incorporate both letters and numbers in a mind blowing way. Hence Letters and numbers blow my mind.
