Theme is: Eye Spy

'The eyes tell the story' by Melinda Harder, Farnham u3a

'Lobster' by Sue Reynard, Bedale u3a
“Eye spy” with my little eye . I painted this in watercolour from a photograph taken of this lobster which we had bought from the fisherman in Seahouses harbour and had cooked for us to this amazing colour from dull dark grey by a local restaurant .

'From my window' by Susie Shaw, Hawkwell Village u3a
Eye spy from my little window is it a postman, a cat , the dreaded pigeon or the friendly neighbourhood dog!

'Owlish eyes' by Annie Fisher, Pontycluyn u3a
There is something so penetrating about owlish eyes! They seem to spy everything. I used my watercolour pencils for this one.

'Finch' by Sue Matthews, Hammersmith & Fulham u3a
Eye Spy a beautiful Finch having come free of its captive chain and able to fly away, remains, uncertain.

'Through the keyhole' by Mary Saracchi, Wilmslow u3a

'That look' by Anne Handley, Crosby u3a
I don't do a lot of art, but seem to do cats, mostly, including one in pastels and an appliqué version of the same. Trying watercolours, I decided to focus on "that look" that cats give you!

'I've got my eye on you' by Dawn Jenkins, Ilkley & District u3a
A pencil drawing to fit the theme.

'Southsea' by Michael Parry, Waterlooville u3a
A derelict part of Southsea where an eye has been painted on the wall of what remains of a large building. The site is surrounded by graffiti and rubbish but the mural has an optimistic look, which I've tried to capture in acrylic.

'With my little eye' by Salim Quraishy, Harrow u3a
"Eye Spy" with my little eye.....in charcoal and pencil.

'Snake' by Martin Jones, Sudbury u3a
This pastel pencil drawing is from a photo that I took in our previous garden next to the pond. I was watching the fish one morning and there he was basking in the morning sun next to me.

'...something beginning with Z' by Ian Weatherley of Witham & District (Essex) u3a
In this case an almost monochrome drawing of a Zebra at Colchester Zoo using pastel pencils on black card. The only colours used were for the eye and the hay that it seems to be enjoying.

'Blue bench' by Diane Jardel, Enniskillen, Fermanagh, Northern Ireland u3a
I spy a white cat on a blue bench in Sunny Mullaghmore.

'Cattle' by Elaine Adams, Northallerton u3a
Cattle peering over the wall on a walk in the North Yorkshire Moors painted in acrylics

'It was late Autumn' by Lyn Morris, Buxton & District u3a
I was walking near the woods and through the frosted mist 'Eye Spied' - a private moment between a squirrel and a rabbit. Unforgettable! I was studying Canadian Indian artist Morisseau and developed a doodle I like to call Klorrigraph - I use it often for small art sketches.
