Justice, the Law and Society 1
This discussion group explores a range of topics about the law and our justice system, from a contemporary and compassionate stance. Topics will include: the Jury system, forensic evidence, modern slavery, landmark Statute Law that changed British society, the Rule of Law, therapeutic centres vs prison, protest law and censorship, and much more.
A maximum of 14 members ensures everyone gets to participate in conversations, some of which will be in break out rooms. Topics are introduced in an easily accessible way with a mix of short video clip/s and context information for about 15 minutes before group discussion begins.
No prior knowledge of the law is necessary.
