Railways
The group is for people with an interest in railways, large or small, standard or narrow gauge, new, old or preserved, UK or abroad. The main format will be a monthly session via Zoom with one of the group members or an outside contact giving a talk on something related to railways. It will also be possible for a session to consist of two or three shorter talks, perhaps on interesting rail trips or local railway developments, both on the big railway and preserved.
Peter has given sufficient talks to the railway group to his local u3a to get the group started. However, for it to be a continuing success, contributions from other members will be important. Depending on the geographical distribution of group members, it might be possible to arrange an occasional real rail outing.
Meetings will be held on Zoom, once a month, at a time and date to be arranged.
