Theme is: Lights

'Lasers' by Trevor Hosking of Knutsford u3a
This is a different representation of lights and was taken in a redundant above-ground reservoir in Toxteth, Liverpool during a laser light show which was part of the Liverpool Biennial Arts Exhibition. The show was amazing and the damp atmosphere in the building seemed to create even more atmosphere to the show.

'Lampshades' by Karen Coates of Solihull Central u3a
Lamps in the market. I like photos of collections and spotted these lampshades on a market stall.

'Pier' by Kate Farmer of Crewe and Nantwich u3a
This photo of the pier in Llandudno was taken on our first trip back to the coast since the rules on travel were relaxed. I loved how the lights stood out against the darkening evening sky.

'Light Dancers' by Angela Owen of Worcester Area u3a
The swirling of lights in a darkened room produces dancing lights, and the photo reveals my ‘Light Dancers’.

'Traffic Light' by Janet Rutter of Devizes & District u3a
A different view of an important aspect of something taken for granted of our streets - when it fails, chaos quickly follows!

'Ceiling Shadows' by Dianne Murray of East Lothian u3a
I took the title quite literally so this is a shot of my favourite lampshade, with its wonderful ceiling shadows.

'Daffodils' By Gillian Edwards of Wrexham u3a
These daffodils in my friend's woodland were very pale and delicate, but with the sun shining through them they appeared to glow like a light

'Skull' by Rosemary Gibb of Ruby u3a
It was at the time of Hallowe'en that I thought of trying to create something more imaginative than traditional pumpkin lanterns. This sheep's skull has a cluster of tiny led lights illuminating it from within and the orange light from a bonfine and smokey effects were added in PS.

'Wood Light' by David Pechey of Bramhall u3a
Spring sunshine lights up the bluebells in Beacon Hill Country Park, Leicestershire. This has been a favourite location during lockdown to meet our family outdoors.

'Sky Light' by John Owen of Worcester Area u3a
Shortly after receiving this theme a bulb went out at home. It got me thinking about the lack of light, and in contrast, sunlight. In this shot I’ve contrasted the silhouette of the lamp against the brightness of spring sunshine.

'Candles' by Chris Parnell of Bracknell Forest u3a
Thinking about the current challenge, I ferreted around in the candle box and decided on this arrangement. I like the way the flames have produced various shadows and distorted light through the candle holders onto the table.

'Light At The End Of The Tunnel' by Marion Clark of Newquay u3a
The photograph was taken on our local beach, of light at the end of the cave.

'Satellight' by Ann Hooley of Ruddington u3a
I chose to photograph the light coming through these lampshades as I liked the illuminated curved patterns of the large one, but the image reminded me of photos taken of satellites in space. I converted the original to black and white as it looked more dramatic.

'Rainbow' by Marion Ridsdill of Castle Bromwich u3a
Storm at sunset Prestatyn last week

'Solar Light' by Maureen Gibson of Helston & District u3a
Just a simple solar light providing a colourful glow in a dark Hallway.
