This aeonium succulent plant is the soft centre of grit and hard-baked terracotta.

This photo is taken looking down at a circular floor light through a glass coaster. The glass has a pattern formed of air bubbles. The propeller effect comes from overlapping coloured discs underneath the coaster.

Although probably not the usual way to look at the centre of a washing machine drum, I just love the way that its complex design creates such a wonderfully abstract image (as well as getting our washing clean).

These flowers have been attracting the bumblebees for a few days now, and the plant seemed "The centre of attraction" and a worthy candidate?

A CD on a record player. When digitally recorded CDs replaced vinyl, our record collections and stereo systems become museum pieces. But streaming services have largely replaced CDs, and vinyl is making a bit of a comeback. The music may be timeless, but which format is old-fashioned now?

These stocks are one of the most photographed features of Cardiff Castle, but not normally from this angle. Visitors usually get their friends and family to stick their head and hands in the holes, or they frame the Castle keep in the centre one. The orange blob is a life-belt container on the side of the moat.

This rabbit decided it was invisible and remained stationary as I approached. If you look closely at the centre of it's eye you can see my reflection.

When holding a small selection of coloured pencils I noticed the Yellow pencil in the centre protruding more than the others, this idea created my submission photo.

My sunshine wind sculpture has a calm and steady central axis around which two sets of blades whirl in opposite directions when the weather is gusty. My garden centres me when issues clamour for attention and I can identify with this piece which has provided a focal point for over ten years.

These jolly cotton reels have provided endless fun for my two daughters and their children for many years. Although the lace is long lost, the reels can be threaded, stacked, rolled, sorted, or counted. I played around with the orientation and chose to turn the centre reel opposite to the others. The lid has a small circular ridge perfectly centring the seven reels into a 'flower', which has a white centre. Naturally, I chose red, white and blue!
