In this weather you can see a ghostly image and it almost looks like a face. It was sunny when I went up to the South Downs, but the mist rolled over after I arrived.

In this weather what more pleasant way is there to spend a sunny summer’s evening, than relaxing in a pub garden enjoying a refreshing cool drink?

In this weather enjoying seeing the shadows my patio chairs make, on a sunny afternoon.

In this weather a repurposed paella pan makes a good bird ‘Bath ’ especially when these three Blackbird siblings decided they all wanted a drink.

Pond Ice formations with an HDR treatment or the surface of Saturn's moon Titan?

'Catching the Sunset' by Angela Owen of Worcester Area u3a

'Catching the Sunset' by Angela Owen of Worcester Area u3a

I’m pleasantly occupied in this weather - using my camera to catch the sunset. A delightful summer evening at the beach – relaxing, playing, creating and finally catching the sun in alignment with this evocative ironwork motif

'Sunbathing pigs' by Bob Douglas of Edinburgh u3a

'Sunbathing pigs' by Bob Douglas of Edinburgh u3a

In April we had a series of warm sunny days and little rain. These pigs appear to be enjoying the sunshine as they are stretched out on a dried out paddock.

After all the frost and rain we had for May, now Summer has arrived we need to water our plants again!

I spotted these amazing icicles left on the hedge after cars had splashed in the puddles at the edge of the road. Like a scene from ‘Frozen’ I couldn’t ‘let it go’ without a snapshot!

'Hot Chicks' by Mike Taylor of Dundee u3a

'Hot Chicks' by Mike Taylor of Dundee u3a

I spotted these hot chicks while walking by Loch Lee a couple of weeks ago. It was a really sunny day and the chicks looked like they were gasping for air, you can imagine the conversation in the nest: “Whew, I’m baking in this weather.” “Yeah, me too, in this weather I wish mum had put a roof on the nest.”

The sheer beauty of the evening sun on the sea and sand inspired me to take this photo from my hotel bedroom window.

Even blackbirds like sunbathing "in this weather". I spotted this female blackbird in my garden, with the sun glinting in her eye, soaking up the rays from above and nestled into the warmth of the gravel below her.

We came across these delightful sun worshippers during our recent visit to a local 'Open Gardens Festival'. The weather was fantastic and this picture will provide a constant reminder of a wonderfully enjoyable day out.

Going out? by Dianne Murray of East Lothian u3a

I saw this interesting arrangement at the foot of our stairs and rushed to take a photograph since I thought it exemplified so well the summer weather we are now having after all that rain and wind.
