One of the memorial seats at the top of Hengistbury Head that looks down upon Mudeford Spit, with golden sands & beach huts below. The wood carver's grooves bring out the subject in this unusual design.

Walking near to Carsington Water in Derbyshire I spotted a beautifully carved chair with grooves cut through the wood to create the impression of creases on the back of the chair, and folds of material on the main structure of the chair. What a discovery!

I love the cheerful colours on the blanket of squares which was started by my Mum-in-Law and finished by me. For the photo I placed it in folds - it has enfolded me many times on cold evenings and will do so again before very long.
