Theme is 'Of The Season'

'When Snow Falls, Nature Listens' by Jim Melville of Balsall Common u3a
"When Snow Falls, Nature Listens" This quotation from Antoinette Van Kleeff came to mind as I saw this snow-covered gate whilst walking the lanes of Warwickshire in February.

'Sun Rise on Snow' by Bob Robertson of Sutton Coldfield u3a
This was taken in Sutton Park last January on my iPhone. The sun was just rising bringing warm colours to contrast with the overnight snow.

'Pesky Penguins' by Brendan Gillan of Ballymoney u3a
Those Pesky Penguins

'Holly' by Janet Rutter of Devizes & District u3a
A Different "take" on Holly. Instead of the vibrant red berries and shiny green leaves, we have the interesting and beautiful skeletal system of these leaves.

'Shapes In Melting Snow' by Sue Lee of Chiltern u3a
The sun was shining through the back of the bushes and the melting snow was forming shapes on the branches, and an interesting light.

'Last of Autumn' by Brian Moore of Belfast u3a
This was taken in the grounds of Tobar Mhuire Retreat Centre outside Crossgar, not far from Belfast. I was walking through their woodland and was on the lookout for Autumnal photos when this scene came into view. For me, it summed up the Autumnal colours perfectly with interesting light and also managed to get a sunburst fin the image

'Winter Wonderland' by Denise Bailey of Shepton Mallet, Wells & Camelot u3a
I was inspired to take this photograph by the unusual weather conditions which turned Beacon Hill Woods into a 'winter wonderland'.

'End Of The Growing Season' by Angela Reid of Balsall Common u3a
The end of the growing season brings with it the opportunity to bring together beautifully textured dried flowers for a wonderful display. And tidy up the plant pots in readiness for a new growing season!

'Santas Coffee Break' By David Bender of Chiltern u3a
This was outside a cafe in Rudesheim in Germany in early December 2014, when the then Christmas market was in full flow

'Advent Calender' by Cynthia Morton of Sidcup u3a
An advent calendar which I made to signify the Christmas season. My husband and I have set a challenge to find small items that fit into the pockets . No diamonds yet!!

'Christmas Toys' by Janet Oakley of Droitwich Spa u3a
Photograph taken at a Christmas toy display at a local garden centre.

'Bright Leaves' by Jonathan Ruddle of Milford On Sea u3a
When walking through local woods last autumn I happened to glimpse this bright collection of (beech?) orange leaves surrounded by greenery. Too good not to photograph.

''Tis the Season-ing' by Graham Wood of Sidcup u3a
A different take on the word "season", combined with the festive wreath.

'Christmas Lights' by Marion Clark of Mawgan Porth u3a
'Tis the season of Christmas decorations in the garden.
