Learning in the u3a movement

This squirrel decided to climb through a bush to get bird seed from a bird feeder in the garden. You can just see the look of anticipation on his face!

Taken on a local walk in the park. I’ve watched the cygnets grow month by month so they know I bring food.

With the awful summer weather we have had this year, I think everyone is in anticipation of some sunshine somewhere.

Taken in the Lake District as the bee approches the flower to collect the pollen. I needed a fast shutter speed the catch this speedy and unpradictable little worker.

As I was sitting, on one of many dull summer days, I felt some warmth and brightness as the sun began to break through. I looked up and was cheered up by the anticipation of the sun moving towards freedom from the hampering clouds. I hadn’t expected to see the delightful orange glow – the promise of its warmth. A celebratory photo was called for.

Each Year we sit in our Garden IN ANTICIPATION of getting the opportunity of seeing Birds feeding their offspring. We are rewarded most years and the birds trust us as we feed them so they bring their young to feed as well.

Spent a day with a friend taking still life photos. This one just made me want to re read all three books knowing that all 3 were guaranteed good reads.

The Moon Gate entry to these gardens increased our anticipation as to the delights ahead of us.

While walking around RHS Wisley, I saw this & thought it fitted the subject of anticipation

I spotted this Snowy Egret wandering along a waterway in Marco Island, Florida. Although Egrets hunt for food by walking through marshy, shallow water, this opportunist was waiting in anticipation of being fed from the fishermen’s bucket. And why not!!

Watching the big dipper, the anticipation of falling over the edge was intense.
