'Daffodils' by Golda Gibson of Bramhall U3A

'Daffodils' by Golda Gibson of Bramhall U3A

I have a love of daffodils but being yellow they can be difficult to photograph. Having asked a fellow photographer in Bramhall U3A he gave me some tips and I produced what I think is a good photo.

When searching for a subject I decided to avoid daffodils and any other yellow flowers.  I noticed we had some lemons and arranged them on a plate.

As a plastic scale modeller I try to make my models appear as life-like as possible, the "Yellowjack's" aerobatic team colours are also very striking in the sunlight.

'Sponges' by Julie Dyer of Turriff U3A

It's amazing what you can do with household sponges and a little bit of photo shop when you are bored.

'Doors' by Hugh Melvin of Saltburn U3A

'Doors' by Hugh Melvin of Saltburn U3A

Cycling through our now-deserted streets I came across this abandoned bookshop. It used to be so vibrant but the owner passed away a few years back and no one has taken it back on.
The morning sun was just coming round but I would have  to wait til evening to get it fully lit.

'Yellow Box' by Eve Coomber of Liskeard and District U3A

'Yellow Box' by Eve Coomber of Liskeard and District U3A

This was taken, today, 4th April 2020, in a street near my home - as I was on my daily walk. I'm not sure what the very-official-looking box was for - maybe Telecoms, or power... but it fitted the theme.

'Glass Flower' by John Owen of Worcester U3A
