Walking past the open doorway of the Orangery at Wrest Park the shadows caught my eye for the abstract designs created onto the wall with the sun shining through the glass roof.

A pile of fabric offcuts ready to make into masks. I experimented with different camera settings and found 'fragmented'. They turned into a colourful mosaic.

I am still self-isolating, which gave me the opprtunity to wander through the house in search of a suitable 'Abstract' subject. The photograph is a close up shot of a shallow metal ornamental dish reflecting natural daylight from a nearby window.

This is one of my own abstract works of art. It's acrylic flow paints, you never know quite what the results will be, but its quite exciting when you have finished to see how it's turned out.

Light painting: a 3 second exposure of a moving, flashing LED light strip, 'bent' through a glass sphere. The glass sphere was on a black reflective surface.

The photo may look like red pipe cleaners but it is actually six pieces of normal spaghetti propped up in the sunlight against two pieces of white paper. A bit of a colour change was then required.

'Mirror Abstract' - Earlier on during lockdown, I experimented with photographing mirrors, which can be tricky. This image uses a long vintage mirror, some dried leaves and berries and a touch of computer magic!

Strolling along the docks in Liverpool, I noticed the swirly shapes in the muddy water by the lock. The reflected colours from the blue sky added to the texture.
