A surfeit of angles wherever you look.

Always liked spider webs, caught this early morning after the rain, on my Smart car, angle of the mirror and window

These powerful lines and the multitude of angles they create, define an imposing structure striding tall and commanding above the countryside. A beautiful summer’s day provided the ideal opportunity to photograph this colossus, which just for a moment seemed to stand on guard, blocking our path.

This stack of triangles shows all angles.

The Kengo Kuma designed V&A Dundee museum is the centrepiece of Dundee’s developing waterfront and projects into the river Tay. The spectacular building is covered in angular blocks but selecting the best shot proved harder than expected. The chosen view shows the V&A making a large angle with the Tay Road Bridge plus an array of angular blocks overhanging the river, even the gull performing a fly past is joining in with an angle.

I picked a perfect seed-head of the Lesser goat's beard, somewhat larger than a common dandelion clock, which I found on the roadside verge whilst on a local walk. On getting it home it was no longer intact but the structure showed strong angular spaces framed by the remaining softer parasol heads, each with their acute angles between the ribs radiating from their centres.

This is a large wild mushroom I found in a field while walking at the Henry Moore Foundation.

Just a collection of different angles - this is just what came to mind when considering the topic.

I’m delighted by the impact of this image of the many angles formed by these entangled angle-lamps. The capture of their structure is enhanced by reflections in the black glass surface I placed them on.

Building sites and the creative activity involved are a source of endless fascination; it always amazes me that actual buildings eventually emerge from what looks like complete chaos.
