Learning in the u3a movement

The photo was taken on Bleaklow in the Derbyshire Peak District. It is of the site of a wartime plane crash.

Taken in December 2017 whilst living in Mid Wales, we checked on our elderly neighbours who were well and truly Snowed in!

This is my multimedia, quite abstract, painting of a wintery forest.

Hampstead in the snow was magical, and I wanted to capture a flurry of snow as it fell off a branch.

Winter in the Pentland Hills, south of Edinburgh, is so different from where I live now in Wiltshire. The track ways and sparkling snow lead the eye towards the sun setting behind Mendick Hill.

This photograph was taken in early January 2018 during a Paisley and District u3a Walking Group outing to Gleniffer Braes park. The temperature was -8° and the waterfall was spectacularly frozen. Despite the low temperature, the day was sunny and crisp and we even enjoyed an outdoors picnic lunch!

The early morning mist rises and rolls across Danson Park and I was excited to be in the right place at the right time! The colours and reflections were muted and time stood briefly still.

A lovely walk with a fellow u3a member in Dunham Park, Cheshire on Thursday 12 November 2020. We came across this young deer with a friend and I managed to capture them together. Love being out in nature and I thought that this nailed it.

The view from my living room made me feel like there is hope and made me realise I am so lucky to see something so beautiful without even leaving home!

Having recently had an operation I was instructed to walk. Every day I walk around locally and I was delighted as the sky cleared and the sun shone thought the last leaves on this oak in my neighbour's field.
