Interactive Talk – How do I get published?

Published : 16 July 2020 Views: 3658

We are delighted to offer an interactive session on Zoom with publishing expert, Alysoun Owen, the editor of Writers’ and Artists’ Yearbook and Children’s Writers’ and Artists’ Yearbook.

Alysoun will be talking about how to get your work published including the main routes to publication (agent-publisher, crowdfunding, and self-publishing) and concentrate on how to prepare your manuscript for submission to literary agents. The talk will cover what you need to know, where you can get reliable information, which agents (and publishers) you should approach, with what and how.

The Writers’ & Artists’ and the Children's Writers' & Artists' Yearbook part of Bloomsbury Publishing Plc, has remained the authoritative resource for writers for over 100 years.

This talk is suitable for those writ U3A members among you who are writing fiction and non-fiction for all ages from children through to teens and adults and across all genres. Following the talk there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions about the hows, whys and wherefores of the often mysterious world of book publishing.
