The teaching and use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) skills within local U3A groups. The ten year period from the mid 1990s has seen a phenomenal growth in the domestic use Information and Communications Technology. In that time the demand for computing skills has ceased to be the reserve of the enthusiastic hobbyist and have become a fundamental life skill that it is becoming increasingly difficult for many people to be without.

The objective of the ICT Awareness subject group is to provide a way of sharing ideas, so if you are wanting to set up an interest group of your own, wonder how you might use ICT to help with a non computing subject, or perhaps need advice on using e-mail to distribute newsletters or communicate in general with U3A members, please get in touch.
