2026 u3a Council Elections

Elections are now open for the following regions:

• East Midlands
• East of England
• South West

Update - there will no longer be an election in the South West region due to a candidate withdrawing. 

The registered voting representative for your u3a was sent a voting link on Tuesday 17 February by email. You have until Tuesday 24 March to cast your vote. Results will be announced w/c 30 March.

There are two vacancies in this region with three nominated candidates.

There is one vacancy in this region with two nominated candidates.

Peter Reid has withdrawn from the elections, so Paul Ward will join Marian Luck as Council Representative for the South West region from April.

In the following regions/ nations the existing Council Representatives remain in post:

• London
• North West
• Wales
• Yorkshire and the Humber

In the following regions/ nations, there were not enough nominees for an election. The new Council Representatives will be in post from 1 April and will be announced in March.

• North East
• Northern Ireland
• Scotland
• South East
• South West
