'Yellow Fields' by Paul Luton, Hale & District u3a
This painting was done on an IPad using the Procreate app. I have been painting on an Pad for sometime but have only recently started to use the more advanced Procreate. I’m learning by following tutorials on YouTube.
'Peploe’s Tulips' by Liz Octigan, Stone u3a
I have adapted a painting of Peploe, a Scottish colourist. I like the vibrancy of his work and the relaxed fluid style of the tulips. The tulips are about to burst open in my garden saying spring has arrived.
'Peacock butterfly' by Margaret Scott, Omagh u3a
I love to watch the ever faithful development of spring from the first Snowdrop onwards. I was delighted to spot my first glimpse of the showy Peacock butterfly so beautifully coloured and patterned, yet so clever in design as to protect it from preditors. What a beauty queen.
'Welsh Poppies' by Kathy Main, Llandudno u3a
Welsh poppies in my garden drawn in Biro with watercolour.
‘Bee happy’ by Lindsey Bond, Cardiff u3a
Always glad to see bees returning to the garden in Spring
'Spring lambs' by Anne Harrison, Tadley & District u3a
A line and wash painting of lambs enjoying a rest in the grass.
'Helibores' by Deborah Peaty, Palmers Green & Southgate u3a
I love to see the Helibores bloom in my garden at the end of winter carrying on well into Spring. Seeing how the sun shone onto and seemingly through the petals inspired me to capture this flower. I used watercolours on A4 watercolour paper.
'Bird's Nest' by Julie Gilson, Long Eaton & District u3a
Everyone in our group painted one and they were all fab.
'Baby Owl' by Jill Foley, Chester u3a
A pencil drawing. - Lots of babies arrive in Spring, so here's a baby owl with its Mum.
'Flower vase' by Neelam Shah, u3a member
Flower vase- fine art pencil drawing, shaded flowers to represent Spring, nature.
'Flowers & Leaves' by Pam Morris, Tavy District u3a
I made blocks of flowers and leaves. I used fabric paint to blockprint with them keeping to spring colours of yellows, purples and greens and then appliqued them to create a small wallhanging.
'Spring has Sprung' by Fiona Germaine, Arun East u3a.
My acrylic stencil on canvas inspired me to have my first ice-cream over the sunny Easter bank holiday. More to follow hopefully.
'Cockerel' by Liisa Brown, Stroud u3a
My colourful, (gay) cockerel is stepping out into the flowery, spring fields, after long harsh winter. Watercolour and pens.
'Primroses and Cowslips' by Brigitte Holland, Sandbach u3a
For me, seeing primroses and cowslips growing along country lanes is a sign that spring is here!
'Rain in Spring' by Salim Quraishy
It always rains in spring. Classic spring shower.
