Theme is: Festive

'Reflections' by Pat White, Dartmouth u3a
I was fascinated by the reflections in amongst the surface pattern.

'The Tree of Life' by Marilyn Jones, Mansfield u3a
I love Celtic Art and particularly trees. The tree was hand drawn onto fabric, and then embroidered using crystals, stones and beads.

'Fireworks' by Brigitte Holland, Sandbach u3a
November/December, months of fireworks! This was painted using acrylics paints.

'Ducks Crossing' by Jill Foley, Chester u3a
A watercolour painting with a Festive theme, but a bit different from robins, Christmas trees, snowmen etc.
Used ultramarine blue, sap green, paynes grey, yellow ocre & burnt sienna. The background was sprinkled with salt.

Vivaldi's Four Season by Lilwen Guest, Hale & District u3a

'Deer' by Laurie Hussain, Bannury u3a
I made a Christmas painting for my granddaughter. Watercolour with lots of negative painting.

'Festive Cheer' by Lynne Mills, Romiley u3a
I started painting for a hobby during lockdown and now I am hooked! I wanted to paint something seasonal and Poinsettias are synonymous with Christmas décor and festive cheer.

'Three Wise Men' by Anona Phillips, Doncaster u3a
I have painted the Three Wise Men bearing gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh in watercolour using an iridescent medium. This painting allowed me to relax on a very cold and wet day and brings back happy memories of being a young girl with family celebrating the festive season and singing carols. We Three Kings of Orient Are is a carol that brings a message of hope.

'Christmas Roses' by Vanda Outram, Barnsley u3a
I love painting flowers.

'Baubles' by Shirley Mountain, Chesterfield u3a
A digital drawing of baubles - I forgot to pack them away at the end of Christmas and saw that they made a nice subject with the reflections in them.

'Poinsettias' by Marian Lewis, Herts u3a
I painted this as it reminds me of poinsettias

'Dunham Massey' by Anne Pearson, Hale u3a
This was inspired by last years festive light show at Dunham Massey

'Christmas Cacti' by Imelda Robinson, Syston and District u3a
In the style of, but not quite there, Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

'Thornford Church' by Pete Akers, Sherborne u3a
I liked the idea of showing the church in the village where I live (Thornford, Dorset) but I did not want a traditional view, so I positioned it reflected in a Christmas tree decoration. The work uses a mixture of pastels from different manufacturers to support a range of techniques.

Market by Salim Quraishy, Harrow u3a
Daily Festivities of an open market.
