New Day

All tomorrow’s dawns start a brand-new day

It is a fact time, never stops come what may

Each new day has differences from the last

All those yesterdays are now known as past

Without doubt we cannot return to yesterday

Yet within our minds so many memories stay

Some pleasurable, are heartwarming to recall

Others of sadness best not remembered at all

Memories recalled albeit, in nature miles apart

We can’t rewind, change them or press restart

Memories once made, remain forever installed

Nothings lost because our minds keep a record

Day’s past, are gone, became part of our history

Those days ahead remain an unknown mystery

Welcome each brand-new day which lay ahead
