Seaham & District u3a yarnbomb Seaham Railway Station to bring smiles to the community.
The 'Knicky Knack Knitters' created a crocheted and knitted display based on the theme flowers and trains, with many references to the town's history.
Group member Linda says, 'It took nearly three hours, but the results were well worth the effort, it was a lot of fun and we all enjoyed every minute of it. As people came and went it was obvious that it was a huge success, questions were asked about our u3a and lots of interest was shown.
'After such a difficult time, we hope this will brighten up the station and give people lots of pleasure.'
