Mac, u3a Subject Advisor for Walking Cricket, has become Manager for the first ever Yorkshire Walking Cricket team.

The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation announced the launch of the Yorkshire Walking Cricket Team earlier this month.

Mac said, “I have always considered it an honour to represent Yorkshire so I am honoured that aged 70 I still have something to offer. I am really looking forward to working with Yorkshire Cricket Foundation to help roll out Walking Cricket across Yorkshire.”

Mac runs a Walking Cricket group at Barnsley u3a. The sport is a more accessible version for the game, in which players walk rather than run and use a softer ball.
