Justice, the Law and Society 2

This is a participatory discussion group which explores a range of topics about the law and our justice system. It is suitable for both those who are new to issues of justice, as well as those already familiar with aspects of the law. Discussions are from a contemporary and compassionate viewpoint of the topics which include; How Juries work, Human Rights, forensic evidence, landmark laws that change society, recent miscarriage of justice cases, restorative justice, effective rehabilitation, and more.

A maximum of 14 members ensures everyone gets to participate in conversations, some of which will be in break-out rooms. Topics are introduced with a mix of short video clips, and context information for about 15 minutes before group discussion begins.

You can join this group, or the waiting list, via the Beacon Members Portal. To join a group you must first subscribe to Interest Groups Online. This is separate to a local u3a membership.
