At the 1884 Congo conference, Europe had carved up Africa with an aim of introducing Christianity, civilization and commerce. Following the failure in the 80+ years of colonial rule and subsequent 60 years of "independence" we are now witnessing a "new scramble" with different players. Is this working?

Did the Ukraine war really start with the invasion by Russia? I consider the latest evidence of what caused the Ukraine war, why it has endured. Evidence suggests that the past failure of peace attempts show that without that clear understanding, a lasting solution would be unsustainable.
