Digital Strategy

In April 2023 the u3a Digital Strategy was finalised and approved by the Trust’s Board. The intention is for this to be delivered over a 5 year period.

The next stage is to develop an Implementation Plan, which will identify the particular digital projects to be actioned in 2023. We will provide a further update once this work has been completed.

Log in to the website and navigate back to this page to download the u3a Digital Strategy, in pdf format, using the links below. As the full strategy document is 18 pages long we have also created a shorter, three page, Digital Strategy Summary Document.

If you are interested in finding out more about the direction and progress in creating the Digital Strategy, you can watch a video conversation between Liz Thackray and Clive Grace, who have both been very involved in the process.

Work to develop a Digital Strategy for the u3a movement began in 2022. To read the first draft document, reflecting work done and where we’d got to in November 2022, click on the link below. The document will download in pdf format.

Supporting the u3a Movement

The Third Age Trust is working hard to make sure every penny of the £4 we receive from the membership is spent wisely.  This is an important time for the movement as we work together to raise our u3a profile, develop our strategies for the future and encourage many more people to join us.

The Trust is supporting u3as and members every day on a wide range of matters, whether that’s through advice and information, insurance, IT, governance, finance, special projects or through communications and publicity.    From the many conversations we are having with members across the movement – we are hearing that u3as want to know how their money is being spent.   We have created an infographic to show exactly to the penny how your £4 is helping us deliver services and support to the u3a movement.

The link to download the infographic, in pdf format, will only appear once you have logged in to the website.
