Dulwich and District U3A have hosted a ‘Showcase of Talent’ event on Zoom.
The event, which took place of their normal monthly open meeting, featured performances from their various interest groups.
The event featured a Zumba demonstration, a poetry reading, a piano recital, a self-scoring Quiz, a presentation from the art group convenor, a creative writing story and a play reading.
Despite some technical difficulties, the event had 100 attendees.
Neil Abrahams, Chair of Dulwich U3A, said, "We wanted to have some sort of special event for our members in place of an Open Meeting, and one which would encourage them to see the benefits of using Zoom and attract their friends and colleagues.
"It was good to know that there was a demand for such a presentation and that so many of our members were happy to Zoom in to it.
"We had lots of nice notes from members who enjoyed the experience and hopefully will consider participating in future"
Dulwich and District U3A is planning another Showcase event, ‘On with the Show!” this month.
