I conformed my way into adult life - university, job, marriage, raising a family, but dreaming all the time of travel and adventure. In 2018, newly single, aged sixty, I left my part-time office job, rented out my home for six months and bought a bicycle. I haven't been back yet.

I talk about how I found my adventure self, my experiences from the road during seven years, eight multi-month bicycle journeys and 20,000+ kms of bicycle travel, and the highs and lows of the physical, mental and emotional journeys to confound expectations of women travelling solo in retirement.

Speakers must only be contacted in relation to hosting their talk(s) listed on the u3a website.
These speakers are to be contacted by u3a members only, and the talks must be presented to u3a groups only.
You do not have to be a group leader to use 'Find a u3a Speaker'. Any u3a member can access this.

If the talk is in-person, travel expenses only are to be negotiated by the u3a and the speaker directly.
