Event: How to Make Sports More Accessible

Published : 27 August 2020 Views: 3783

Join us for a talk with Richard Hill MBE, a pioneer for the development of adapted cricket across the UK.

The talk will take place on 4 September at 2pm and Richard will discuss how sport in general, and cricket in particular, can easily be made accessible to more people. This includes formats of the game such a Wheelchair Cricket, Clock Cricket and Walking Cricket. There will also be space at the end of the talk for members' questions about how to adapt sports to make them as inclusive as possible.

Working for the England and Wales Cricket Board, Richard’s involvement in disability cricket spans over 25 years. He has been at the forefront of developing disability cricket across the UK and is the national lead on Walking Cricket.

This event is a great opportunity for U3A members to learn about making Sport groups more accessible.
