Canva (Graphic Design) Course
Canva is a powerful online graphic design package (at canva.com) that allows you to create all kinds of media, from birthday cards to posters and brochures to presentations, videos, websites, newsletters, and more. The group will follow the course in the free online book "Canva for u3a Groups" which is available along with other online resources on the course website at u3abourneend.com. The course lasts for 12 sessions (6 months), and at the end of it you can join the Canva Projects Group where you can apply your learning to a variety of practical design projects.
Canva is quite a complex package, and you should be reasonably competent with computers. Because Canva is an online application, any type of computer is suitable – Windows, Apple, Linux, or Chromebook, or it is possible to use it on an iPad or Android tablet.
The course runs on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month, starting on 13th April 2026. Because the course is heavily subscribed, it will be split into two groups, one group meeting at 2 pm, the other at 4 pm. The groups will meet over Zoom.
When
2nd and 4th Mondays, starting 13th April 2026. You can join either the 2:00 pm to 3:20 pm group or the 4:00 pm to 5:20 pm group.
