A freshly hatched cygnet at Abbotsbury Swannery in Dorset. The mother tenderly looking over what seems to be the first of her brood is particularly appealing.

Back in the Spring, this willow catkin was having to contend with overnight snow. I was pleased to capture the melting flakes as well as the willow because neither stay like that for long.

I am a newbie just 3 days old. I was born at the Salvation Army Rare Breeds farm in Hadleigh Essex.

I was walking in the grounds of Baddesley Clinton when I saw this old shed. Several months later it had been restored and had a new roof.

I took this shot last March in early spring, after a heavy downfall of unseasonal snow. This crocus was determined to push on up through the snow regardless, until it found the light it sought to grow. I find it awe inspiring that nature always seems to win through against all odds.

Took this shot from the One New Change shopping centre, trying to get a new view of St. Pauls's. Then converted to monochrome to increase the impact.

Came across this sales display of very colourful and unique designs on these new Skate Board Platforms, at the Skate Factory in Gloucester Quays. I was so taken by the range colours and designs as I passed the front of the store, and dared to venture in. Obviously a young peoples venue, but very exciting in what is a dimly lit venue, save for the Platforms which are highlighted by overhead lights. I was unable to get an angle I would really have liked, due to space and size of display, but am happy with the shot I was able to grab on my mobile. To me it suggests speed, and a formation fly past of the boards. Really lovely people serving in the shop, who un-asked, kindly either ducked around the corner or hid under the sales counter for me to get my shot
