Potential groups provide an opportunity for members to help set up a group which is not currently included in our active groups. When there enough members in the potential group, we organise a meeting so you can decide between you how the group will work and how it will be run.

About Whisky
This might involve participants taking turns to highlight aspects of a particular distillery, method of production, taste even famous people known to love -
AI for Artists
This group will explore using an artist-led, exploratory approach to use free AI tools to re-imagine 2D images as spatial or 3D forms . This would be for creative and conceptual purposes, rather than technical 3D modelling. -

A discussion around available and affordable fashion items, including fabrics, make up, hair products - plus a monthly special sewing bee including recycling clothes, outfits for children, evening outfits and casual wear. -
Food and Drink
This group will have cookery tips, recipes, pairing ideas, the best of the YouTube / online videos, famous chefs and restaurants, food and drink from around the world. -
German Improvers
Our current German groups are all full, so we are setting up this potential group to get together people who would like to set up a new group for people who already have some knowledge of German. -
Great Albums '80s '90s
This group will explore great albms of hte 0s and 90s, or might be split in two to explore the two decades separately. -

Learn Geoguessr
GeoGuessr is a browser-based geography game in which players try to deduce locations from Google Street View imagery. Essentially its a game where you are given a photo of anywhere in the world and you have to work out where it is. The skilled can do it in less than a minute!!! -
Map Reading
This group is intended to help people to develop their map-reading skills. Remember that u3a groups do not have "teachers" - ideally everyone is a learner and a teacher. -
Nevil Shute Novels
Participants to take it in turn to suggest a book for the group to read then discuss at the next meeting… Shute was born in 1899 and died in 1960. There are 24 standalone novels – the most common theme being the dignity of work and they come in roughly three sections – Early prewar flying adventures; Second World War tales; and Stories set in Australia. -

Presentation Skills
The group hopes to attract members who would like to practice making short presentations. -
Sign Language 3
An online course by british-sign.co.uk will be used as the basis for this group. Members of the group will need to sign up to the course. -
