Microcontrollers and Electronics Users Group

This group is for people who wish to explore and build practical projects using microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi Pico, and similar devices. Typical activities will include programming, connecting and using sensors and displays, simple electronics, soldering, testing circuits, and researching, building, and experimenting with hardware projects.
Members should have access to and be reasonably confident using a computer and the internet, as projects often involve installing software, downloading software libraries, reading online guides, and troubleshooting technical issues. Members should also be willing to obtain and use basic equipment such as a multimeter, microcontrollers, and electronic components.
Some previous experience with programming or electronics is helpful, but expert knowledge is not required — enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to research and learn by doing are far more important.
The group will focus on hands-on practical work, so members should be prepared to experiment, build, and actively participate in projects both during and between meetings.
Whether your interest is home automation, motors and robotics, sensors, data logging, displays, or simply learning more about modern electronic devices, the aim is to learn together through practical experimentation in a friendly and supportive environment.
