Justice, the Law and Society 1
This is a participatory discussion group which explores a range of topics about the law and our justice system. It is suitable for both those who are new to justice issues and those already familiar with some aspects of law.
Discussions are from a contemporary and compassionate viewpoint of the topics, which include: How juries work, the role of defence barristers, the work of the Centre for Women’s Justice, the psychology of crime, and aspects of international law.
A maximum of 14 members ensures everyone gets to participate in conversations, some of which will be in break-out rooms. Topics are introduced with a mix of short video clip/s and context information for about 15 minutes before the group discussion begins.
