Interest Groups Online Groups

Fusion Tai Qi Gong

This group is for anyone with basic fitness who wants to enhance their physical and mental health and wellbeing. A regular weekly session of 75 minutes via Zoom, at some time on a Wednesday. Interested members learn the World’s most popular form of Tai Chi, taught by an authority, together with Qi Gong exercises. These involve deep breathing and working the body for maximum health and well-being benefits.

Using Zoom instruction, supplemented with video clips and booklets, participants get to grips with the beauty that is Tai Chi and Qi Gong, combined in a seamless offering. It is expected that the online course will appeal to existing instructors and group leaders of Tai Chi, Qi Gong, wellness and health groups who would like to progress to a higher level of understanding and depth in their teaching. Participants will receive a free guide (PDF) on “Wellness Works”, a 16-page summary of how to maximise health and wellbeing benefits in daily life.

The aim over time is to make membership of the group optional as people undertake the routines themselves to the necessary level, to perform a session of 45 minutes at any time of their choosing. Some may go on to disseminate their new skills to existing health and wellbeing groups.
