Explore our example interest groups
Over the course of a year, we’ve had the privilege of working alongside a number of inspiring interest group leaders who generously opened their doors and allowed us to follow their journey. Thanks to them, we are able to share real examples of how groups can be organised, developed, and sustained over time.
These example group pages showcase a diverse range of approaches to running interest-based programmes. Each group demonstrates different:
-
Organisational structures – from informal peer-led gatherings to more structured programmes
-
Leadership styles – including facilitative, collaborative, and guided models
-
Learning approaches – such as experiential learning, project-based work and discussion-led sessions,
By exploring these examples, you’ll see how groups evolve, respond to challenges, build community, and create meaningful learning experiences for their members.
Whether you're starting a new group, refining an existing one, or simply looking for inspiration, these real-world examples offer practical insights and ideas you can adapt to your own context.
We are deeply grateful to the group leaders and members who made this work possible through their generosity, reflection, and willingness to share their experiences.
