Group Leaders Bulletin April 2026
Members who have not renewed
The deadline for membership renewal was the 31st March. Members of your group who have not renewed appear in red in the “Members” tab in Beacon. We allow a month’s grace so all members who have failed to renew by the 30th April will be removed from groups. If your group has members on a waiting list, you will then be able to add them to the group. You may also want to email members who have not renewed, reminding them of this.
Beacon calendar
You can view the Beacon calendar using the Calendar tab on the Beacon admin link
or from the Member’s Portal
Calendar entries need to be created by group leaders - see Add meetings to schedule.
Only 68 of our 173 groups currently have calendar entries – it would be helpful to new and existing members if all our groups were shown there.
Language group leaders meeting
Some of our language group leaders met on 23th March 2026, and had a very useful exchange of ideas. They decided to hold further meetings. The next one is planned for June. We have set up the “Language Group Leaders” group on Beacon, which is open to all our language group leaders – you can join via the Members Portal.
Test Zoom meeting
This is available every Saturday for group leaders to experiment with using Zoom. Contact us if you have mislaid the link and/or the host code.
IGO Zoom April calendar
This is attached. It lists all the meetings which are booked in April on IGO Zoom accounts. If you are unsure about your booking, please check that your meeting is included on the list and that the Meeting ID matches what you have. If not, please contact us immediately.
Generic Zoom calendar
This shows all bookings on our Zoom accounts so group leaders can check if there are specific slots are free. The 4th account is starting to fill up but most slots are still available.
